Ottawa Senators announce 2012-13 regular-season schedule


The National Hockey League and the Ottawa Senators today announced the 2012-13 regular-season schedule, which will see the club open the season on Saturday, Jan. 19, in Winnipeg against the Jets at 3 p.m. Ottawa's home schedule begins on Monday, Jan. 21, when they host the Florida Panthers at Scotiabank Place at 7:30 p.m. The 48-game calendar concludes when the Senators host the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, April 27.
Tickets for Senators' first 10 regular-season home games go on sale Monday, Jan. 14
Single-game tickets for the first 10 games of the regular season will go on sale Monday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. The first 10 home games of the regular season will feature a number of promotions to welcome back fans to Scotiabank Place. To kick off the home season on opening night at Scotiabank Place, there will be free parking for fans (in lots 5, 6 and 9), children 14-and-under will get a free ticket with purchase of an adult ticket, popcorn will be $1 and there will be 50% off all merchandise. OPENING NIGHT - Welcome Back Fans. The game will be free for kids 14-and-under with the purchase of an adult ticket, plus free parking (in lots 5,6 9 only), $1 popcorn and 50% off all merchandise. There will also be activities for kids including mascots, face painting and many more.
Sunday, Jan. 27, vs. Pittsburgh
Metro Family Game - One ticket, one hot dog and one drink starting from only $24.75 (tax included). There will also be activities for kids including mascots, face painting and many more.
Tuesday, Jan. 29, vs. Washington
Free for kids 14-and-under with the purchase of an adult ticket, plus $1 pop. There will also be activities for kids including mascots, face painting and many more.
Wednesday, Jan. 30, vs. Montreal
Rivalry Game - Buy early and save what you would pay versus normal Montreal prices.
Tuesday, Feb. 5, vs. Buffalo
Subway Student Night - Half price for students, plus $1 popcorn.
Thursday, Feb. 7, vs. Carolina
Metro Family Game - One ticket, one hot dog and one drink starting from only $24.75 (tax included). There will also be activities for kids including mascots, face painting and many more.

Minor Hockey Game - Half price for all minor hockey players. The first 1,500 players wearing a jersey will receive a player autographed item (mini stick, puck or player photo).

Free for kids 14-and-under with the purchase of an adult ticket, plus $1 pop.There will also be activities for kids including mascots, face painting and many more.

Tickets for the final 14 home games of the regular season will go on sale Monday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m.

Open practices during training camp, all merchandise 50% off during training camp
All on-ice sessions during the Senators upcoming training camp, which will open on Sunday, Jan. 13, at Scotiabank Place, will be open to the general public. The first session is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 13. Fans can enter Scotiabank Place via the Gate 1 entrance, with doors opening at 12:30 p.m.
Starting on the first day of training camp and running through the Senators' first game of the regular season on Monday, Jan. 21, all merchandise at all Sens store locations will be 50% off.

Schedule information
The Senators' 2012-13 regular-season schedule will feature games against each Eastern Conference opponent. In the Northeast Division, Ottawa will play the Toronto Maple Leafs five times (three games at Scotiabank Place) and the Boston Bruins five times (twice in Ottawa). The Senators will face the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens on four occasions.
Outside of the Northeast Division, Ottawa will oppose the 10 remaining Eastern Conference opponents three times each. The Senators will have two home games and one road game against the Carolina Hurricanes, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals and Winnipeg. The Senators will play two of three games on the road against the Florida Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning.
The 2012-13 season will feature the Senators wearing their heritage jersey seven times at Scotiabank Place: Jan. 29 vs. Washington, Feb. 9 vs. Winnipeg, Feb. 19 vs. N.Y. Islanders, March 23 vs. Tampa Bay, March 30 vs. Toronto, April 16 vs. Carolina and April 22 vs. Buffalo.
