The Philadelphia-based Bicycle Product Suppliers Association reports that though unit sales in 2012 grew by just two percent, dollar sales grew by six percent. "We see a change in product mix". Mr. Ordelheide explained, "In the Fort Lauderdale bicycle market, first-time buyers often want a beach cruiser. As they gain experience, they eventually want a hybrid or commuter bike. That's why we stock a broad selection of bicycle styles."
