The loan will be used to expand T5's data center in Plano, Texas, which will ultimately deliver 22.5 megawatts of critical IT load power and house 247,000 square feet under roof. The new funding round is being led by JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA, and includes investments from Wells Fargo Bank, RBS Citizens Financial Group, and Raymond James.

In recent weeks, Facebook is investing $300 million for a data center in Altoona, Iowa; and experts estimate Google is spending $1 billion per quarter on data center construction and operations. However, there are few vendors investing in new turnkey and purpose-built data centers to lease capacity to companies that can't afford to build their own infrastructure.
