Single Mum Launches Mobile app “v-Appointment” App In an Effort To Break Out Of The Poverty Cycle

Single Mother of Four Hopes to Break Poverty Cycle By launching v-Appointment mobile App Developed Through Savings and Initiative

United Kingdom 19 April 2013 After two years of searching for work, despite years of experience and advanced degrees in E-Commerce, Nelly Mhangami decided to create her own job. As a single mother of four children, it was imperative that she be able to provide for them and give them a brighter future.
On 11 April, she launched v-Appointment, an iPhone, iPad and desktop integrated application that enables companies and individuals to schedule and manage appointments and calendar commitments through SMS, voice mail and email. Within two days 291 people had already downloaded the free app.

With 13 years experience as an IT Project Manager and an MSc in E-Commerce, she thought it would be easy to find employment. When nothing was forthcoming for nearly two years, she decided to create her own job using money she saved from her government assistance to develop the application and the new website.
I never gave up looking for work, but I realized that to be able to provide for my four children, I needed to desist from self pity, have an l can do it mentality and make sacrifices Nelly said. I saw that there was a need for an appointment management application that was easy to use and fully integrated with a desktop application, so I developed v-Appointments on a shoe string budget.

The application has over 190 downloads on its first day. Within 24 hours, scores of people and companies all around the world have begun to use the program to increase their efficiency and be in a position to make more money. The application will be developed further with more interesting and intellectual property protected features as soon as more funding becomes available according to Nelly Mhangami who also mentioned that this is one of the many unique ideas she has.

She has also started work on a charitable organization, Single Mothers In Business which will support single mothers who want to go into business.
v-Appointments is available in the iTunes App Store at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/v-appointments/id625771143 or on the internet at https://www.virtualappointmentsmanager.com/dashboard/login.php
