Martin Sheen, Host of "Impact", Educates the Viewer on Natural Gas

We've all heard about natural gas, but how many people really know where it comes from or what it is? Found deep underground rock formations, natural gas is formed from fossil remains of plants and animals. Originally, natural gas was obtained as a by-product to producing oil. In the beginning, the gas was just burned off, but throughout time, advances were made in harnessing the energy.

These changes made it possible to collect the gas and utilize is as a power source. Once a natural gas reserve is found, the gas is extracted and sent to processing plants to be cleaned and converted into usable fuel. The natural gas is then sent to small underground pipelines for distribution to businesses and homes.

The use of natural gas has grown rapidly along with consumers rising awareness of environmental concerns. Natural Gas is the cleanest burning fuel and is much friendlier to the environment as a result. It is safe, cost effective and reliable and due to its abundance, it will be utilized for many years to come.

"Impact", hosted by Martin Sheen, has partnered with various companies to help educate the viewing audiences on the benefits of natural gas. The knowledge obtained from this series can be utilized by many generations to come.
